About the Area

If you are moving to the region and are looking for a new church home, we hope you find one at the Bonney Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church.  From time to time, we receive questions about the area from those who are relocating.  The following tidbits should help if you are heading to the Pacific Northwest.

Brief facts -- Bonney Lake  is a commuter town of about 16,000 residents, located in Pierce County.  It is growing community situated near the foothills of Mt. Rainier and is closely surrounded by the cities of Puyallup, Orting, BuckleyMt. Rainier, and Enumclaw.  It is about 35 miles south of Seattle and about 13 miles east of Tacoma.

Schools – there are several Adventist educational institutions in the region:

Activities – a plethora of outdoor activities are available to those living in the area, such as bicycling, walking, jogging, hiking, skiing, swimming and more.  There are several local parks available. Our church conference also sponsors Sunset Lake, in nearby Wilkeson, a place for youth summer camps and church retreats.

Weather – depends on who you ask, but most people like the moderate temperatures and Pacific Northwest drizzle.
